This collection of work investigates performance in relation to actions in our daily lives within a domestic art studio space. Sets are constructed by modifying the existing space as a form of reclaiming or making of one’s own space. Imbued in the space and in the work, are the lives and work of the artists, painters, who lived in the space previously. Translating the actions of the artists who lived there previously, I perform within the space, reinterpreting domestic objects as art artifacts. I document these photographically. In essence they are self-portraits, the artist who lived there were my grandparents.
