My goal is to rework the living room into a more abstract and intimate space as much of its utility is attached to traditional family values and norms. It should serve as a place for individuals to find a new kind of openness within their own families that will lead to a more subjective experience for the larger unit as a whole.

“When I first began to talk about photography, I felt that I had to find out how the myth of the family relates to the way an individual subject experienced family life and how the subject in family photography is constructed.”
